PORTUGAL: Software produced Invoice requirement for non-established businesses postponed.

After the first postponement of the electronic VAT invoice via approved software systems for non resident business trading in Portugal there has now been a second postponement.  Previously these companies would be liable to start producing these invoices from the first of January 2021. The new deadline is currently July 2021.

After July these foreign companies are obliged to have a type of invoicing software that produces compliant invoices to the regulations in Portugal. For this purpose the Portuguese government will have a free software available that can produce compliant invoices.
