The Italian Revenue Agency has commenced a consultation process to seek feedback on proposed tax reform changes, with the objective of simplifying the tax system and introducing technical updates. The consultation encompasses revisions to various tax laws, including income taxes, VAT, registration, and other indirect taxes, as well as tax benefits and regimes for specific sectors.
The proposed reforms also address tax obligations, assessments, payments, and administrative penalties. Notably, the texts are reorganized to enhance clarity, except for provisions related to the Regional Tax on Productive Activities (IRAP) and certain real estate matters. Stakeholders and taxpayers are invited to submit their comments on the proposals, with the consultation period extending until May 13.
