The Parliament of Lithuania (Seima) is considering a 5 percent reduced VAT rate for thermal energy and natural gas supplied to households

On September 30, 2021, the Parliament of Lithuania (Seimas) has accepted to consider a Bill No. XIVP-892 setting a 5 percent reduced VAT rate  for thermal energy and natural gas supplied to household energy consumers. The law would enter into force Jan. 1, 2022 until May 1, 2022. The government of Lithuania has time until December 30, 2021 to adopt legal acts implementing this Law.
