France Intends to collect its digital services tax (DST) this December

Spread the love

Since an International agreement is still on hold, France is set to collect DST in December.

Since 2019 the digital services tax was approved in France. This means that big companies that offer digital services and enjoy global revenues of 750 million Euros and over and French sales of 25 million and more will be required to pay a  3% digital services tax.

The tax instalments have not been collected yet though as France agreed to suspend collection until December awaiting for an international agreement. Seeing that discussions for this agreement have now been postponed to mid-2021 partly due to COVID19, France is eager to begin collections in December 2020.
