USA: Temporary Sales tax becomes permanent in Arkansas

Arkansas voters have approved a “temporary” sales tax increase of 0.5% back in 2012. Currently by also approving “Issue 1” they have now decided to make this sales tax permanent. This makes Arkansas one of the highest taxed states in the USA if  combined both state and local sales taxes.
