Plans to apply to the European Commission for consent to reduce VAT on newspapers, magazines and books

The Ministry of Finance plans to apply to the European Commission for consent to reduce VAT on newspapers, magazines and books.

It results from ministerial letters addressed to the Chamber of Press Publishers and to the Polish Chamber of Books.

The President of the IWP asked the minister of finance to support the press market in connection with the losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Such support would be the introduction of 0 percent.
