The Irish Covid19 stimulus plan was implemented for a six-month period.  As a result starting September 2020 VAT in Ireland was reduced from 23% to 21%. This plan was put in place in order to support businesses impacted by the Covid19 crisis. According to this plan the Minister of Finance confirmed that VAT rate will revert to 23% on 1 March 2021.

Companies need to take this into account and prepare for this change as all receipts, invoices and contracts will need to be amended and reverted to the standard rate of 23%
