Ukraine: Implementation of the Bill No. 8196 to restore energy infrastructure
The Ukrainian Parliament thoroughly reviewed Bill No. 8196 to exempt VAT on imports and donations into Ukraine. This applies to goods that are required to restore energy infrastructure damaged during the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The reviewed bill considers the following:
- To exempt VAT on goods and also for engines, generators, inductors, static electric converters, and throttles which are primary sources of power generations
- To exclude Russia from VAT exemptions for their goods, occupied territories, or other specified countries.
