Thailand: Extension of reduced VAT rate period to support imports and sales
The Thai Revenue Department has released News No. 32/2023, informing the public that the Cabinet has approved an extension of the VAT reduction period. This extension will be in effect from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024. During this period, the reduced VAT rate of 7 percent, inclusive of local taxes, will apply to imports and the sale of goods or services.
