Sri Lanka: Inland Revenue Announces Upcoming Tax Deadlines
The Sri Lankan Inland Revenue Department has announced key tax filing and payment deadlines. Taxpayers are advised to take note of the following important dates:
- July 31, 2024: Deadline for filing Value-Added Tax (VAT) returns for the second quarter of 2024 and for the month of June 2024.
- August 15, 2024: Deadline for submitting the Statement of Estimated Tax (SET) for the 2024-2025 assessment year.
- August 15, 2024: Deadline for paying the first installment of income tax for the 2024-2025 assessment year, applicable to Individual Income Tax (IIT), Personal Income Tax (PIT), and Corporate Income Tax (CIT).
