The Saudi General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) published the selection criteria for the twenty-first wave of linking and integrating taxpayer VAT e-invoicing systems into the Fatoora system. The integration process includes additional e-invoicing requirements and formatting standards.

Key details of the announcement:

  • The twenty-first wave of e-invoicing integration will begin no later than November 30, 2024, for taxpayers with VAT-taxable revenue exceeding 1.25 million Saudi riyals (US$333,279) in 2022, 2023, or 2024.
  • The Tax Agency will notify businesses selected for integration at least six months before their required linkage date.
  • The integration phase requires businesses to issue e-invoices in a specified format, including additional required fields.

The announcement provides businesses with clarity on compliance requirements for the next phase of Saudi Arabia’s VAT e-invoicing integration under the Fatoora system.
