Poland: Government issues Decree reducing the VAT rate on certain goods
The Polish government recently issued an official ordinance that modifies the value-added tax (VAT) rates for certain goods. These changes took effect on 1st January 2023.
Ordinance No. 28048/2022 amends the following:
- The types of documents that are eligible for a reduced VAT rate at 0%, and
- Removing the expiration date of 31 December 2024, from the reduced 8% VAT rate that applies to the supply, intra-community acquisition, and importation of certain soil amendments and fertilizer products.
