The Polish Ministry of Finance made a significant announcement regarding the mandatory national VAT e-invoicing system (KSeF). The extension entails a shift in deadlines: from Jan. 1, 2025, to Feb. 1, 2026, for entrepreneurs with sales exceeding 200 million Polish zlotys (US$49.6 million) in the previous tax year, and to April 1, 2026, for other entrepreneurs.

In addition to the deadline extension, the Ministry outlined comprehensive measures to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the system. This includes a strategic overhaul of the IT architecture to address issues related to reliability, security, and functionality.

Furthermore, a two-stage legislative process has been initiated. The initial stage focuses on establishing the new implementation dates for KSeF, while the subsequent stage will introduce detailed legislative solutions to streamline the implementation process.

To ensure a smooth transition for entrepreneurs, the Ministry has adjusted the schedule for training and information activities leading up to the revised implementation dates.
