Morocco: Government updates for 2022 tax guideline for living overseas
The Moroccan General Tax Administration published online the 2022 tax guidance for people living overseas.
The manual provides:
- Payroll taxes are decreased and have exclusions for earnings from real estate transactions and overseas pensioners.
- Stamp tax and ownership tax rates and benefits, including thresholds, have been reduced.
- An exemption from social solidarity charges for residential building development
- VAT reimbursements for goods purchased in Morocco up to a certain value for use outside of Morocco.
- Requirements for electronic reporting and qualifications
