Lithuania: Proposal to raise VAT registration threshold in response to inflation

Spread the love

The Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) is considering Bill No. XIVP-2452 to increase the VAT registration threshold for inflation. The proposed bill includes measures to increase the domestic turnover amount, from which VAT registration is required, to 65,000 Euros in the last 12 months from the previous threshold of 45,000 Euros.

Taxpayers would also be allowed to calculate and pay VAT from the month in which the 65,000 euros threshold is exceeded. If approved, the law would come into effect on January 1, 2024.
