Grenada: VAT Filing Deadline and Penalties for Advertisers

The deadlines for submitting and paying VAT were reminded to producers of public entertainment by the Grenadian Ministry of Finance, Planning, Economic, and Physical Development.

 

The following reminders include:

 

  • Deadline for submitting VAT returns: 20th of the month after the month in which the event occurred
  • Fine for late filing: XCD 500 (Eastern Caribbean dollars) plus XCD 100 for each month or portion of a month that the failure to file continues, or 5% of the tax due plus 1% for each month or portion of a month that the failure to file continues, shall apply.
  • Fine for overdue payments: 20% of the VAT payable will be charged.

 

Promoters are also reminded that all income streams, including those from ticket sales, bar sales, and stall rentals, are subject to VAT.
