What is the difference between e-invoicing and e-reporting?

E-invoicing involves the structured issuance, transmission, and validation of invoices between businesses, the seller and the buyer, with the tax authority being involved as a clearance party. E-reporting, on the other hand, requires businesses to submit transactional data (not full invoices) for compliance and audit purposes without necessarily exchanging invoices digitally.
