Belarus: Tax Ministry Implements a New Advertising Tax Regime
A new advertising tax regime was announced by the Belarusian Ministry of Taxes and Duties entered into force on May 1.
Introduced by the President’s Decree No. 131 on Development for Advertising Placement, the statement contains the following provisions:
- Advertisement tax of 10% for outdoor advertising and 20% for other types of advertising.
- Affected and exempt businesses.
- Quarterly Reporting period requirement, due not later than 20th day of the month following the reporting quarter and payment to be made not later than the 22nd day.
- Cost of Advertising Services as the basis for the fee computation.
