Albania 2021 VAT threshold changes

Starting from January 2021 Albania increased its VAT registration threshold to 10 million ALL (approx. 81.000 EUR) for all business categories.

This is a large increase in the threshold as previously the VAT threshold 2 million AL or (16.000 EUR). At the same time, all businesses with a turnover between 5 and 10 million ALL can choose to voluntarily register for VAT.
